Bihar Election: Tejashwi Yadav Poses 12 Challenging Questions to the Nitish-Modi Administration over Unemployment and Emigration issues
In the run-up to the Bihar elections, political heat is rising across the state as parties sharpen their attacks and leaders target each other. Tejashwi Yadav, former RJD MLA, has been vocal in his criticism of the Bihar state government.
Yadav has been questioning the state's economic policies, particularly the shutting down of factories like sugar mills, jute mills, paper mills, and others in the last two decades. He has also brought attention to the rising migration in Bihar, asking why so many people have left the state in the last 20 years.
Yadav has emphasized that the youth of Bihar want answers from both Nitish Kumar, who has led the state for two decades, and Narendra Modi, whose party has ruled at the Centre for 11 years. He has stated that if leaders remain silent, young voters will respond with their votes in the upcoming election.
Bihar remains a hub of joblessness, with no IT companies invited to set up offices, no IT Park or Special Economic Zone in the state. The government has failed to create industry-specific clusters to promote local manufacturing. Despite two decades of Nitish Kumar's rule in Bihar and over a decade of BJP at the Centre, Bihar continues to struggle with joblessness, migration, and poverty.
Yadav has questioned the irregular, delayed, and non-transparent recruitment exams in Bihar during Nitish's 20 years of government. He has also pointed out that Bihar's per capita income lags behind some of the poorest nations in Africa like Uganda and Rwanda.
Bihar produces world-famous crops and fruits, but lacks proper food processing industries. The state imports fish from other states despite having resources for fish farming. Bihar produces a lot of milk, but lacks large-scale dairy industries for exporting ghee, butter, cheese, khoya, and paneer.
Yadav has also highlighted the untapped tourism potential in Bihar. Traditional industries in Bihar are declining. He has called on leaders, particularly Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi, to address these burning issues.
The campaign mood has shifted online, with sharp statements and counter-statements flooding social media platforms. The future of Bihar's economy hangs in the balance as voters prepare to cast their ballots.
