Bike storage facilities at the entrance are being removed
The NECE Festival 2025: HOPE, scheduled to take place in Oslo from Friday, 12th September, to Saturday, 13th September, has prompted the removal of bicycles from the city's designated racks. Bicycle owners are asked to remove their bikes by Sunday evening, 8th September, to avoid storage at the Lost and Found Office in City Hall 2.
The festival organisers, in cooperation with The European Wergeland Centre (EWC), have made this decision to facilitate the dismantling of the festival, which will begin on Monday, 8th September, at 6 AM. During this period, from 8th September to the reinstallation of the racks in October, no new bicycles can be parked in the affected areas.
Notices regarding the removal of bikes from the racks will be posted beforehand, and any bicycles left in the racks after Sunday evening can be retrieved at the Lost and Found Office in City Hall 2. The office will continue to store bicycles until they are claimed.
It is important to note that the bike racks will remain empty from 14th September to October inclusive. No reinstallation of the bike racks will be carried out before October, and no notices regarding their reinstallation will be posted before then.
Bicycle owners are advised to find alternative parking solutions during this period. The city has not yet released information regarding temporary bicycle parking spaces or a designated person/institution responsible for collecting bicycles before 10th September.
The NECE Festival 2025: HOPE promises to be an exciting event, and the temporary removal of bicycles from the racks is a necessary measure to ensure its successful execution. After the festival concludes, and no further events are scheduled to use the bike racks until October, the racks will be ready for use once again.
