BMW introduces a novel cyberpunk scooter concept, enabling riders to forego helmets due to the addition of a roll cage.

BMW Motorrad has made a splash at this year's International Motor Show in Munich with the unveiling of their latest electric scooter prototype, the Vision CE. This visually striking concept, developed by BMW Motorrad Chief Markus Flasch, is BMW's most daring scooter design yet, boasting a distinct cyberpunk style.

The Vision CE is not just a feast for the eyes, it's also packed with innovative features. One of its standout attributes is its self-balancing function, which allows for easier parking without the need for a kickstand. This forward-thinking feature, while promising, leaves the impact on the riding experience somewhat unclear.

The scooter also comes equipped with a roll cage for protective cover, a seat with a headrest, and a harness for the rider. These unique features are not commonly found on other scooters, setting the Vision CE apart from its competitors.

However, the production status of the Vision CE remains uncertain at this time. BMW has shown a willingness to put slightly toned-down versions of its most attention-grabbing prototypes into production, suggesting there may be hope for the Vision CE to hit the streets in the future.

The Vision CE is battery powered, but specific details about its mechanical abilities are yet to be disclosed. One thing is for certain, the design of the Vision CE is reminiscent of the Definiton CE concept, which eventually went into production.
