High-Profile Stars to Compete in BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am

The BMW PGA Championship, the flagship event of the DP World Tour, is set to commence later this week at Wentworth. As part of the exciting lineup, the Celebrity Pro-Am will take place on Wednesday, September 10th.

A strong field of celebrities and sports personalities will participate in the Celebrity Pro-Am, including British tennis legend Sir Andy Murray, former Real Madrid footballer Gareth Bale, England cricket captain Ben Stokes, F1 star Lando Norris, comedian Michael McIntyre, and actress Kathryn Newton.

The morning groups in the tournament will begin at 8.00am BST in a shotgun start. Among the groups set to tee off in the morning session are Billy Horschel, who won last year's BMW PGA Championship, playing alongside Gareth Bale, Sir Andy Murray, and former England soccer star Teddy Sheringham.

Brooks Koepka, a LIV Golfer, will tee it up in the morning session with two more ex-England soccer players, Robbie Fowler and John Terry, and former field hockey player-turned-television presenter Sam Quek. Lando Norris played alongside Matt Fitzpatrick during the Celebrity Pro-Am at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club.

In addition to these star-studded groups, Corey Conners, Jack Gillingham, Lucas Dawson, and Mia Baker, Ryan Gerard, Declan Maloney, Georgia Ball, and Max Payne, Tommy Fleetwood, Harrison Osterfield, Tom Grennan, and Anna Halliday, Tyrrell Hatton, Dave Jones, Jon Wilkin, and Simon Lazenby are also scheduled to play in the morning session.

The afternoon groups will also start in a shotgun start. Viktor Hovland will be part of the afternoon groups, which begin at 1.30pm BST, along with golf content creators Peter Finch, Mac Boucher, and Ellie Skoog.

Unfortunately, Rory McIlroy will not be participating in the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am due to a prior commitment.
