BMW previews the future of urban travel with Vision CE concept

BMW Motorrad, a part of the BMW Group, is set to showcase its latest electric vehicle concept at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. The Vision CE is designed to redefine urban single-track mobility, embodying BMW's commitment to making future mobility both emission-free and emotionally engaging.

The Vision CE is a bold step forward in BMW's electric two-wheeler lineup, joining the CE 04 scooter (on sale since 2022) and the smaller CE 02 (introduced in 2024). This new concept is a reimagining of BMW's past concept, the BMW C1 scooter, which also promised helmet-free commuting.

The Vision CE features a tubular metal cage with an integrated seat belt, allowing for helmet-free and conventional protective clothing-free riding. The seat is finished in a matte material with integrated lettering, adding to its sleek design. The exterior boasts matte white panels, black contrasts, and neon red accents, giving it a sharp, technical look.

One of the standout features of the Vision CE is its long wheelbase design, which provides a stretched and airy appearance. The vehicle also includes a self-balancing function for added stability, ensuring a smooth and secure ride. Moreover, the Vision CE features a balancing function that allows the bike to hold itself upright when stopped, offering convenience for riders.

BMW Motorrad is signalling that the next leap in their electric two-wheeler lineup won't just be about range or performance but about the rider's lifestyle. The Vision CE is a showcase of how urban riders want to live, move, and even dress in the future.

Whether commuters will embrace a helmet-free future is yet to be seen, but BMW intends to keep pushing the boundaries of what two wheels can mean in the electric era. The company is confident that the Vision CE will offer a "casual, carefree riding experience" that emphasizes freedom as much as function.

The Vision CE will make its debut at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, where it is expected to draw much attention and interest. With its innovative design and commitment to a sustainable future, the Vision CE is set to shape the way we think about urban mobility.
