BMW Unveils Facelifted X1 with Significant Upgrades

BMW has been spotted testing its facelifted X1, and the changes are more extensive than a typical facelift for a model that is only a few years old. The new X1 features a revised exterior with a Neue Klasse front fascia, blending elements from the X3 and iX3.

The cabin of the facelifted X1 is expected to be equipped with Panoramic iDrive, featuring a pillar-to-pillar display and a 17.9-inch infotainment system. The redesigned interior also includes retractable door handles and a repositioned rear liftgate.

Spy photographers have captured images of the facelifted X1, and it appears to have new side mirrors that echo those on the X3. The vehicle also features a minimalist grille, the company's new horizontal light signature, a wide lower intake, and a new hood with a "valley" in the center. The facelifted X1 also sports a new rear bumper and updated lighting units.

While the facelifted X1's engine options could carryover from the previous model, the exact details and specifications are yet to be confirmed. The unveiling of the facelifted X1 is not yet confirmed, but the exact details and specifications will become clearer in the months ahead.

It is worth noting that BMW's Neue Klasse era includes the redesigned iX3 and will be incorporated into nearly 40 new models and model updates between now and 2027. This era will serve as the basis for both combustion and electric cars, with a new generation starting around 2026/2027. The facelifted X1, therefore, represents a step towards BMW's future plans.

In related news, spy photographers have also snapped the 2027 BMW X5, hinting at the company's ongoing efforts to modernise its SUV lineup. As always, we will keep you updated on any developments regarding the facelifted BMW X1 and other BMW models. Stay tuned!
