Ismael Bosch, a seasoned political figure with a wealth of experience, has joined the ranks of Renfe Viajers as a new member of its board of directors. Bosch currently serves as an assistant to the Presidency of the Commission for the audit of democratic quality, the fight against corruption, and institutional and legal reforms in the Congress of Deputies.

Bosch's political career began in 1990, when he joined the Spanish Socialist Youth, a youth wing of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). He pursued his academic studies at the University of Valladolid from 1991 to 1995, where he earned a degree in Political Science and Sociology.

Bosch's political prowess extends to the digital sphere, having managed the social networks of the Valladolid City Council during the tenure of Mayor Óscar Puente. Puente, who also hails from the University of Valladolid, completed his degree there in 1993.

Joining Bosch on the Renfe Viajers board are Teresa Busto and Santiago Franco. Busto, an industrial engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, has a distinguished career in the aviation industry, having served as the director of the Airbus factory in Illescas (Toledo). She is also a member of the scientific advisory committee of the CSIC.

Franco, on the other hand, brings extensive experience in the travel and tourism sector to the table. He has worked for Amadeus, a technology company in the Ibex 35, and PwC as a consultant for Tourism and Transport.

Renfe Viajers, a subsidiary of Renfe, is the most important company in the public group, responsible for passenger transport in public and commercial services. As such, the appointments of Bosch, Busto, and Franco are significant, as they will contribute their expertise to the ongoing operations of the company.

It is worth noting that, while Bosch is a prominent figure within the PSOE of Castilla y León, there is no information available regarding which political party he currently belongs to.

Óscar Puente, the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, is in charge of Renfe within the Ministry's organizational chart. Puente's departure from the board of Renfe Viajeros was previously announced, with Anaís Tarragó, current director general of the Fundació Universitat Pompeu Fabra, vacating her position.

These changes in the board of Renfe Viajers are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the table, as the company navigates the challenges and opportunities of the transport sector in the 21st century.
