Border Controls at Sorpesee Area on Sunday: Polish-Hungarian Border traffic regulation

In the picturesque tourist destination of Sorpesee, the local police force has stepped up efforts to ensure the safety of vehicle and motorcycle traffic. This initiative was implemented on Sunday, with incoming and outgoing traffic being closely monitored in the area.

The crackdown on motorcyclists saw ten individuals issued fines for speeding violations, one of whom was also reported for an administrative offence. The offence in question involved the removal of the "db-eater" from exhaust systems, a modification that not only increases noise emissions but also voids the motorcycle's operating permit.

Two motorcyclists were found to have made this modification, leading to their vehicles being towed and transported on a trailer to their home addresses. They were also prohibited from continuing their journey and fined for their actions.

To rectify the situation, motorcyclists are advised to reinstall the "db-eater" and have their motorcycles inspected by the local road traffic authority to obtain a certificate of proper condition. Only then can a new operating permit be applied for.

The police appeal to all road users to drive carefully and show consideration towards other users and residents. Jana SchΓ€fer, the contact person for media inquiries at the Press Office of Hochsauerlandkreis Police Headquarters, can be reached at 0291 9020 1142 or via email at [email protected].
