Article Title: Debunked: TikTok Video Claiming Strat Window Cracking Was Based on Misunderstanding

In a recent viral TikTok video, a window at the top of the Strat in Las Vegas appears to be cracking, causing concerns among viewers about safety. However, a closer look reveals that the video was based on a misunderstanding.

The window shown in the video was actually pre-existing and had been evaluated, posing no safety concern. A spokesperson for the Strat confirmed this to both Casino.org and the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The TikTok account that posted the video, @henrylujan23, has since been scrubbed of all its content.

The video, posted on June 23, 2025, quickly gained popularity, amassing over 3 million views, 300K likes, and over 33K shares by July 3. It was taken from one of the casino resort's observation deck windows, with the narrator pointing out a crack in the window and suggesting an earthquake or similar event.

However, a casino surveillance worker revealed that the video was shot on June 27, and the narrator produced the window-cracking sound by having a woman strike a metal beam adjacent to the window with her hand.

The video was removed from TikTok and YouTube after concerns about safety were raised among the 5,000 comments left below the clip on TikTok. It's worth noting that the Strat tower's windows are quadruple-paned and undergo thorough daily inspections as part of a rigorous safety and maintenance program.
