In a groundbreaking move, Swiss watchmaker Breitling has partnered with the National Football League (NFL) to introduce an exclusive collection for the 2025-26 season. The partnership, which began in 2024, aims to bring together luxury and sports, symbolizing excellence, precision, and performance at the highest level.

Trevor Lawrence, the young quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, expressed his excitement about the collaboration. He believes that this partnership gives fans a way to celebrate the game with something really meaningful and lasting. Lawrence also added that partnerships like this help bring the game to new audiences, indicative of the growth of the sport.

The collection features a new steel 40-mm Chronomat Automatic GMT for each NFL team, designed to be muscular without being too big and quite sophisticated. Breitling also released 32 special Endurance Pros in 44 mm for the collection. Both watches showcase unique colors representative of each NFL team, with the team's logo on the dial for the Chronomats and on the caseback for the Endurance Pros.

NFL legend Boomer Esiason, who has been part of the Breitling family for over 35 years, played a key role in the creation of the new collection. The designer of the Chronomat Automatic GMT introduced in the new Breitling x NFL collection is historically associated with Breitling's reinvestment in mechanical chronographs. Design elements like the 'Rouleaux' bracelet revived in 2020 reflect Breitling's in-house design evolution rather than attributing to an individual designer.

The watches are not inexpensive, with quality being a notable feature. They have been popular, with teams like the Philadelphia Eagles selling out quickly. Trevor Lawrence believes that the decision to go global is indicative of the growth of the sport, making these watches accessible for all the league's fans worldwide.
