Bundesliga standings show Bayern maintaining their first place, while Stuttgart claims victory in their match following the Woltemade agreement.

In a thrilling weekend of Bundesliga action, several teams showcased their prowess while others faced unexpected challenges. Here's a roundup of the key events from the German top-flight.

Eintracht Frankfurt secured a hard-fought 3:1 away victory against TSG Hoffenheim, thanks to a brace from Ritsu Doan and goals from Patrik Schick and Malik Tillman. Schick opened the scoring in the 5th minute, before Doan added two more in the 17th and unspecified earlier part of the game. Tillman's goal came in the 35th minute, while Hoffenheim managed a consolation goal late in the second half.

Bayern Munich, despite Harry Kane going goalless in a milestone game, emerged victorious in their first away game of the season, beating FC Augsburg 3:2 (2:0). Goals from Serge Gnabry, Luis DĂaz, and Michael Olise put Bayern in a commanding position, but Augsburg fought back bravely with goals from Kristijan Jakic (58') and Mert KömĂŒr (83'). Unfortunately for Augsburg, Sandro Wagner suffered his first defeat as their new coach in his home debut.

Meanwhile, RB Leipzig made amends for their 0:6 thrashing against Bayern Munich with a 2:0 (0:0) home win against 1. FC Heidenheim. Despite squandering a 3:1 lead and the chance for their first league win under new coach Erik ten Hag, Leipzig held on to secure a much-needed victory.

Elsewhere, VfB Stuttgart secured their first win of the season with a 1:0 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The goalscorer remains unnamed in the official reports.

Bayer Leverkusen drew 3:3 (2:1) against Werder Bremen, a result that will disappoint Leverkusen fans, who were hoping for their first league win under new coach Erik ten Hag. Ten Hag, who made his Bundesliga head coach debut this season, was fired after three games; as of early September 2025, Leverkusen had not yet appointed his permanent successor, although RaĂșl GonzĂĄlez and SĂ©rgio Conceição were among the candidates considered.

The planned transfer of attacker Nicolas Jackson from Bayern Munich to FC Chelsea seems to be in jeopardy, with no further updates on the potential move.

As the Bundesliga season continues to unfold, fans can look forward to more exciting and unpredictable matches in the weeks ahead.
