Bus construction projects at the intersection: revamping bus routes 40, 91, and 97
The Rennbahnkreuz in Halle is set to undergo maintenance and repair work, resulting in the closure of both the eastern and western bridges from September 5 to 8 and September 12 to 15. This closure will affect several lines of the Halle Transportation Authority (HAVAG), including bus line 40 and trams 91 and 97.
During these closures, bus line 40 will be shortened and will end at Hyazinthenstraße in Andalusierstraße. Passengers travelling on this line are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
Tram lines 91 and 97 will not serve the Rennbahnkreuz (platform F) and Ankerstraße (platform A) during the closure of the eastern bridge from September 12 to 15. A replacement stop for the Rennbahnring (platform B) will be set up on the asphalted area opposite the bus loop at house number 36.
Tram line 97 will also not serve the Saline (platform A) during the same period. Additionally, during the closure of the eastern bridge from September 12 to 15, tram line 97 will not serve the Rennbahnkreuz (platform F).
The stops Rennbahnring (platform B) and Rennbahnkreuz (platform E) will not be served during the closures. The HAVAG traffic announcements provide all line changes for buses and trams during the closures, ensuring passengers are well-informed.
The closure will occur each day from 6 PM to 5 AM. The closure involves local authorities and construction companies, with the work taking place on Friday, September 12, and from Monday, September 15.
Passengers are advised to check the HAVAG website or mobile app for the latest updates and to plan their journeys accordingly. The temporary closures aim to improve the infrastructure at Rennbahnkreuz, ensuring smoother and safer travel for all passengers in the future.
