Business Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Integration in Business Operations, as Perceived by Bergische IHK

The fourth "IHK Entrepreneur Breakfast" took place on May 4 at Codecentric AG in Solingen, with over 100 guests in attendance to discuss the potential and challenges of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in business practice.

The topic of the event was "AI in Business Practice: Recognizing and Utilizing Opportunities". The panel discussion, moderated by Codecentric's CEO Rainer Vehns, focused on the integration and impact of AI on various professions and the world of work.

Prof. Chris Wickenden from Fresenius University of Applied Sciences and Stefan Kirschsieper were among the panelists who shared their insights on the state of AI integration in German companies and the practical solutions for navigating technological change.

Cornelius Scheffel-Ullrich also participated in the discussion, emphasizing the importance of educating and qualifying employees to meet the demands of the AI-based future. Kai Lichtenberg, Head of AI at Codecentric, presented concrete application cases and successes in the use of generative AI.

IHK Director Carmen Bartl-Zorn highlighted the central importance of AI, especially in times of skilled labor shortage and increasing competitive pressure. She stressed that fast, efficient processes and innovative solutions are necessary to succeed in the modern business world, and that AI can play a crucial role in achieving these goals.

During the networking session, participants actively exchanged their experiences with AI and its application in business practice. The event provided ample opportunity for attendees to discuss and share their thoughts on the topic, making it a valuable learning experience for all.

Prof. Wickenden, in addition to his earlier presentation, also participated in the panel discussion, sharing his expertise on the subject. No new facts about Codecentric's CEO Rainer Vehns or Kai Lichtenberg, Head of AI at Codecentric, were mentioned in the panel discussion.

The panel discussion at the event did not cover the potential and challenges of AI, but rather focused on its integration and impact. This event served as a valuable platform for businesses to gain insights and share experiences on the practical applications of AI in their operations.
