Caledon experiences extensive house fire damage
A residential fire broke out in the rural countryside of Caledon on Friday, causing significant damage to a home located on Innis Lake Road. The incident took place between King Street and Castelderg Sideroad.
The fire was reported to emergency crews around 7:30 a.m., with flames and thick smoke billowing from the structure upon their arrival. Aerial footage shows that the roof of the home appears to have collapsed.
No injuries were reported, and thankfully, no one was home during the fire. However, the blaze caused extensive damage to the structure, and the full extent of the damage is yet to be assessed.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The local fire department's arson unit and the Caledon police forensic team are currently investigating the cause of the fire. At this time, no specific cause has been identified.
