Canadian promotional market to benefit from collaboration between ASI Show and Promo Expo
The Association for Specialty Advertising (ASI) and Promo Expo are joining forces to better serve the Canadian promotional products market. This collaboration, a response to customer feedback requesting fewer shows and improved value, aims to provide events that offer strong return on investment for participants.
ASI will demonstrate new features in ASI Canada's ESP and ESP WebsitesTM at ASI Fort Worth, Feb. 5 and 6. Meanwhile, the ASI Show will offer space for PRG at its new Toronto event with education, scheduled for an undisclosed date.
The one-day tabletop show and networking event will take place in Vaughan, Ontario on June 18. This event will include four hours of tabletop exhibit time, lunch, and a cocktail networking reception.
The collaboration involves consolidating their events in Canada and jointly marketing each other's events. The Canadian Promotional Products Association (CPPA), which collaborates with suppliers, multi-line representatives, and distributors to better serve Canadian market shares, is also a part of this initiative.
Neil Mihan, owner of Promotional Resource Group (PRG), stated that the collaboration with ASI Show will help deliver improvements moving forward. Rita Ugianskis-Fishman, senior vice president and general manager of ASI Show, expressed excitement about the new show launch in Canada and the collaboration with Promo Expo.
ASI representatives will be present at Promo Expo shows in seven Canadian cities in April and May. The cities include Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, and Halifax.
The event will feature a keynote by Cher Jones, a corporate social media trainer and personal branding specialist. ASI Show will also provide registration technology support for Promo Expo/PME events.
ASI Canada Ambassador Michelle Merrifield stated that the collaboration aims to be in more places and create more dynamic events in 2019. This collaboration is part of a larger initiative by ASI and ASI Canada to better serve the Canadian promotional products industry.
The ASI Show is a trade show organiser for the promotional products industry in the U.S. and Canada. Promo Expo, on the other hand, provides events for the industry across Canada under the umbrella of Promotional Marketing Events (PME).
This collaboration is expected to deliver better events with stronger participation from all membership categories, ensuring a vibrant and thriving promotional products industry in Canada.
