Captain of an Associate Nation sets historic record in the women's T20 World Cup Qualifier, scoring 85 runs and taking three wickets in a single match.

In the third match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup East-Asia Pacific Qualifier in Fiji, Vanuatu Women emerged victorious against Indonesia Women in a thrilling contest. The match was played in a ball-by-ball over format, with Vanuatu setting a target of 132 runs for Indonesia.

Rachel Andrew, the second Vanuatuan to complete a T20I hat-trick, played a pivotal role in setting the target. She scored an unbeaten 85 runs off 71 balls, providing a solid foundation for her team's total. Her impressive performance earned her figures of 3-10 in the match.

Nasimana Navaika was her partner at the crease, as Vanuatu scored 131 runs in their innings. The hosts of the event, Fiji, watched as the match unfolded, with Selina Solman, the first woman to score a fifty and take three wickets in three deliveries in the same T20 international match, leading Vanuatu.

Indonesia, however, put up a valiant fight. In the second over of their innings, Valenta Langiatu was dismissed for one run, setting the tone for the rest of the match. Despite Rachel Andrew's efforts, Indonesia fell seven runs short, securing a narrow victory for Vanuatu.

With this win, Vanuatu moves up to second place in Group B after the first round. Nepal's Sandeep Lamichhane achieved a T20I hat-trick before Rachel Andrew, but it was the Vanuatuan who stole the spotlight in this match.

The eight-team event will decide one qualifying place for next year's ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier.
