Car Accident in Dusseldorf's Flingern-Süd Neighborhood: Two Victims Following Collision with Advertisement Pillar
On Wednesday afternoon (26.2.), a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Werdener and Erkrather Straße in the Flingern Süd district, causing a significant disruption.
According to reports, a car driver lost control and collided with an advertising pole adorned with a neon sign and clock display on the sidewalk. The impact was severe, causing damage to the advertising pole, which was at risk of toppling over.
The two occupants of the car were severely injured in the accident. To ensure a safe removal of the injured parties, the fire department was tasked with a gentle rescue operation. They utilised hydraulic equipment to open both sides of the vehicle. Subsequently, the injured parties were transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
To further address the situation, an on-site doctor was called to provide immediate medical attention. During the rescue operation, the fire department also secured and dismantled the damaged advertising pole to prevent any potential harm.
Fortunately, no other road users were involved in the accident, as per current knowledge. The police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident, and as of now, the name of the driver remains undisclosed in the search results.
This incident caused a temporary disruption in the traffic flow at the intersection, but the situation was swiftly managed by the emergency services. The authorities are working diligently to determine the cause of the accident and ensure the safety of the community.
