Car-bound criminal plunges off Talgar cliff with abducted child in tow
In the picturesque village of Kyzyl-Kairat near Talgar, a shocking incident unfolded on September 6. A two-year-old child was kidnapped, marking a high-profile crime that sent ripples through the community.
The victim, a nurse's nephew, was at a neighbour's house, setting up an IV drip, when the kidnapper struck. The suspect, an auto repair shop worker, had a history with the family. About a month prior, he was accused of rape by the child's aunt, Gauhar Saryeva. Despite the accusation, the police did not take any action at the time.
Two days before the kidnapping, Saryeva and her husband detained the suspect and handed him over to the police. However, he was released the next day. Tragically, the victim's uncle was murdered around the same time as the kidnapping, and the suspect is believed to be the perpetrator.
The details about the tragedy were revealed by lawyer Gauhar Saryeva, who also published videos providing details about the incident. The kidnapper did not physically harm the child, but the girl sustained injuries when the kidnapper drove off a cliff with her in the car.
The location of the incident, as well as the murder and kidnapping, is Talgar, Almaty Region. The special forces rescued the child later that day and handed her over to her mother.
Remarkably, the suspect was arrested following the rescue of the child. The police have not disclosed the suspect's name publicly. The girl underwent surgery and received eight stitches on her tongue as a result of the ordeal.
Thankfully, the young girl is safe and recovering. The community hopes that justice will be served, and such incidents will be prevented in the future.
