Car crash on M-406 at Getafe leaves two victims with severe injuries
In a tragic incident that unfolded on Saturday at noon, a vehicle collision on kilometer 10 of the M-406, near Getafe, left two individuals injured.
According to the Civil Guard, the 35-year-old driver and a 34-year-old woman were the victims of the accident. The first alert call was registered at 12:00 hours, and immediately after, healthcare teams were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the healthcare professionals of Summa 112 treated and stabilised the 35-year-old driver at the accident site. Unfortunately, the woman suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and was evacuated to Hospital 12 de Octubre in critical condition. The 35-year-old driver, too, was later transported to the same hospital, having sustained a femur fracture.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Civil Guard, and as of now, no information about the publisher or owner of the vehicle involved in the incident has been made public. It is known, however, that there were no other vehicles involved in the collision.
The Civil Guard has taken charge of the investigation into the accident, working diligently to uncover the circumstances that led to this unfortunate event.
