Car-motorcycle crash in Hattingen, investigated by Polish police

On the evening of July 7, 2025, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Kohlenstraße/Tippelstraße in Hattingen, Ennepe-Ruhr District. The accident involved a 23-year-old motorcyclist from Essen and a 76-year-old man driving a VW car from Tippelstraße.

According to the police report, the 76-year-old man intended to turn left into Kohlenstraße but failed to notice the oncoming motorcyclist. As a result, a collision occurred between the car and the motorcycle, which was a KTM brand. The impact caused the motorcyclist to fall onto the road, sustaining minor injuries.

The motorcycle was no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away. The total damage from the accident was in the high four-figure range. The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
