Cardi B's Latest Single Drops Out of the Hot 100 After a Week, Yet Gains Momentum on Radio Stations

Cardi B's "Imaginary Playerz" Debuts on Radio Charts, Struggles on Billboard Hot 100

Cardi B's latest single, "Imaginary Playerz," has made a strong debut on several radio charts, but it's a different story on the Billboard Hot 100. The track, featuring Migos, has only managed one week on the chart and has not been repeated since.

"Imaginary Playerz" entered the Rhythmic Airplay roster at No. 39, and it has since climbed to No. 21. On the Rap Airplay chart, the song jumped from No. 45 to No. 38, and on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay tally, it improved from No. 45 to No. 36.

However, the song has not appeared on the list of the most-consumed songs in the U.S. this frame, signalling that it may not have the same commercial success as some of Cardi B's past hits.

This is an unusual turn of events for Cardi B, whose singles have typically lived on the Hot 100 for multiple frames, if not months. It's also worth noting that "Imaginary Playerz" is not the only one of her tracks to have only one week on the Hot 100. "Type Shit" with Migos and "Puntería" with Shakira are two other examples.

Despite falling off the Billboard Hot 100, "Imaginary Playerz" continues to perform well on various radio charts. It has started on a handful of radio lists and has climbed to new peaks on several other radio rankings.

This leaves Cardi B's fans wondering what went wrong with "Imaginary Playerz" and what the future holds for the rapper's career. With 37 placements on the Rhythmic Airplay list and 34 wins on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay tally, Cardi B remains a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
