Cars sustaining significant damage in LPI-SHL area
A 61-year-old driver was involved in an accident on Coburger Street in Ummerstadt on Tuesday evening. The driver, whose identity is yet to be confirmed in the available search results, fled the scene but was later located by the police.
According to the Suhl Police Headquarters Press Office, the driver continued for approximately 50 meters after the accident before crashing into another parked car. A witness ran onto the street and provided information to the authorities, which aided in the swift apprehension of the driver.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the driver had a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 3.21%, as indicated by a voluntary breathalyzer test. As a result of the incident, the driver was required to provide a blood sample at the hospital.
