Delaware's casinos seemed to miss the mark this May, as revenue amounted to an estimated $37.4 million - a 2% slip from the $37.9 million recorded in May 2024.
According to statistics from the Delaware Lottery, video lottery terminals were the real money-makers, accounting for over $33.9 million in net proceeds. Table games, on the other hand, contributed a comparatively lower figure of $3.4 million.
Even with these figures, it's clear that Delaware Park emerged as the month's high roller, raking in a total of $15.7 million, slightly dipping from $16.2 million in the previous year. Bally's Dover and Harrington Casino saw their fortunes take a different turn, with Bally's recording an increase in revenue from $12.3 million to $12.6 million. While Harrington Casino's revenue dropped significantly, going from $9.1 million to $8.9 million.

Despite the overall revenue decline in Delaware's casinos, Delaware Park remained a significant revenue generator, with gaming revenues of about $15.7 million, indicating that casino-and-gambling activities at Delaware Park continue to be strong. The casino games contribute to this figure, with video lottery terminals being the primary casino-games source of revenue.
