Catch a glimpse of Season 2 of Taylor Sheridan's 'Landman'
In the heart of Texas, the highly anticipated second season of the West Texas oil drama, Landman, is set to premiere on Nov. 16 on Paramount+. Co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, this series is based on the Texas Monthly podcast Boomtown.
The star-studded cast includes acting heavyweights such as Sam Elliott, Demi Moore, and Andy Garcia, with Billy Bob Thornton playing the role of Tommy Norris, a chainsmoking oil-industry "fixer". Thornton's performance in Landman earned him a best actor in a drama series nomination from the Golden Globes.
Filming for Season 2 began in early April and is taking place in various locations, including downtown Fort Worth, Dallas' Knox District, the Arts District, Don Artemio in Fort Worth, Petroleum Club, and Sundance Square Plaza. The production for Landman and other projects from Taylor Sheridan's universe, which includes Lioness and the Yellowstone spinoffs The Madison and Dutton Ranch, is being carried out at a 450,000-square-foot production facility in North Texas. This facility was built by Endeavor Content.
The first season of Landman made a significant impact, with the premiere episode setting new records for Paramount+. It also attracted a global audience of 35 million streaming viewers.
Arts Access, an arts journalism collaboration powered by The Dallas Morning News and KERA, will no doubt be keeping a close eye on the progress of Landman and the other projects in Taylor Sheridan's expanding universe.
For those who missed the first season, or for those eager to revisit the world of Landman, the trailer and first-look images for the second season have been released. Get ready to dive back into the complexities of the oil industry and the lives of the characters entwined within it.
