Celebrate 50 momentous years of the Book Bus - join us at the commemorative anniversary bash
On the 13th of September, 2023, the Osnabrück City Library's Book Bus will celebrate its 50th anniversary at the Kita Landwehr parking lot, Quebecallee 17, 49090 Osnabrück. This special day promises a colorful program for children and families, filled with activities, books, and the opportunity to meet author Jennifer Schotter.
Jennifer Schotter, known for her popular children's book "The Puddle Pig", will be reading from her picture book at 2 PM. Pu, the lovable pig from "The Puddle Pig", will also be making an appearance.

The Book Bus, a mobile library, offers a wide range of media for all ages, including books, audiobooks, magazines, comics, DVDs, video games, and more. During the celebration, you can get a library card, browse the selection, and borrow media.
Throughout the day, the Book Bus will be open for visitors. The celebration will run from 11 AM to 5 PM, offering book bowling and crafting creative bookmarks as part of the festivities.
Since its launch in June 1975, the Book Bus has been modernized twice and now serves over 35 stops throughout the city. It regularly visits schools, kindergartens, and after-school care facilities, bringing a diverse range of media directly to the people in the city's neighborhoods.
