In the Vogelsberg District, an unexpected incident occurred on Sunday, 8th December. Three trash cans caught fire on the street "Am Eichberg", Lauterbach, for reasons yet to be determined.

Fortunately, the Lauterbach fire department responded promptly, managing to extinguish the fire before it could pose any danger to people or nearby buildings. The prompt action by the fire department prevented any potential damage to the surrounding area.

However, the fire did cause some damage. In addition to the burned trash cans, a fourth trash can and the wooden palisades surrounding the storage area were also damaged. The total property damage from the fire is estimated at around 3,600 euros.

The local police department is currently investigating the cause of the fire. Witnesses with useful information are asked to contact the Lauterbach police station at 06641/971-0. The police are seeking any information that could help shed light on the incident.
