Graduation Ceremony at HSPV NRW: A Celebration of Achievements
The Hagen City Hall was the venue for a grand celebration on August 29, 2025, as the Hochschule fΓΌr Polizei und ΓΆffentliche Verwaltung NRW (HSPV NRW) honoured its best graduates of the year.
The ceremony was marked by the presence of Hagen's Mayor Erik O. Schulz and Police President Ursula Tomahogh, who extended their warm greetings to the graduating class. The musical accompaniment for the event was provided by the group "Ich und Du."

The HSPV NRW prepares students for middle management group 2, first entry level, in the police, state administration, municipal administration, and pension insurance. The university offers a variety of programs, including a Bachelor of Administrative Informatics (B.A.), State Administrative Service - General Administration (LL.B.), Police Service (B.A.), Municipal Administrative Service - General Administration (LL.B.), Municipal Administrative Service - Administrative Economics (B.A.), and Pension Insurance (LL.B.) programs, as well as a Master of Public Management (MPM) program.
Around 14,400 students are currently pursuing a dual degree at the HSPV NRW. In August 2025, 3,500 students completed their dual studies and received their bachelor certificates.
The graduation ceremony concluded officially after the student representative's speech, which looked back on the journey and ahead to the future. The ceremony also featured inspiring words from Imam Turan, a representative of one of the three major religions.
HSPV Vice-President Prof. Dr. Iris Wiesner emphasized that academic qualification is a sign of a modern, future-oriented state. She highlighted the university's commitment to preparing students for successful careers in their chosen fields.
