Championing the battle against gender-based violence, Cimberio enlists every team member in the cause
In a significant step towards promoting a culture of respect and equality, Cimberio spa, a leading faucet manufacturer based in Novara, has partnered with Liberazione e Speranza, a non-profit organisation established 25 years ago, to address the issue of gender-based violence in the workplace.
The collaboration was born from a meeting between Roberto Cimberio, CEO of Cimberio spa, and Elia Impaloni, president of Liberazione e Speranza. Cimberio expressed his desire to foster a company culture based on respect and equality, with the aim of extending this message beyond the walls of the workplace. Impaloni, in turn, considered the initiative very important, emphasizing the increased attention towards gender-based violence not only in factories but also on the territory.
The workshop, taking place today and tomorrow at Cimberio's faucet factory in Novara, will not be a conference but an open dialogue and confrontation to stimulate employee collaboration. All employees will participate through training and awareness-raising moments guided by the operators of Liberazione e Speranza.
The topics covered in the workshop will include the meaning of gender-based violence, how to recognise the first signs, how to act, and who to turn to. This is part of the path started with the gender parity certification obtained by Cimberio in 2023.
Liberazione e Speranza, since its inception, has been actively working on various projects related to trafficking, violence, and irregular work. The primary focus of the organisation was, and still is, combating the trafficking of women for sexual exploitation. However, the work has expanded to protect victims of violence, and fighting against irregular work is another aspect of their current activities.
Cimberio spa has decided to concretely support the cooperative's activities through a donation. This partnership is in line with Cimberio's commitment to corporate social responsibility and its dedication to creating a safe and inclusive work environment.
Elia Impaloni, president of Liberazione e Speranza, considers this initiative very important, highlighting the increased attention towards gender-based violence in factories and on the territory. The tools and resources available in the territory will also be discussed during the workshop.
This collaboration is a testament to the power of partnerships between businesses and non-profit organisations in addressing complex social issues. By working together, Cimberio spa and Liberazione e Speranza aim to create a safer and more inclusive society for all.
