Championship in Kamchatka region for professionals, "Professionals - 2025," comes to a close
In a celebration of skill, determination, and ambition, the regional stage of the 'Professionals - 2025' competition took place in Kamchatka Krai. Over 160 participants, ranging from students aged 14 and up to vocational education students, showcased their talents in 21 relevant competencies.
Organised by the Ministry of Education of Kamchatka Krai and the Kamchatka IRA Advanced Professional Training Center, the competition served as a platform for these talented individuals to demonstrate their professional skills to potential employers. The championship is part of the "Professionalism" federal project under the "Youth and Children" national project, with the goal of increasing the prestige of skilled trades, developing human resources in various economic sectors, and preparing highly qualified specialists.
Alexandra Korotkova, the Minister of Education in Kamchatka Krai, spoke at the closing ceremony, emphasising the importance of determination, ambition, and a focus on results in shaping the future. She expressed her pride in the participants and their achievements, and wished them the best of luck in the inter-regional qualifying competitions.
The participants' work was evaluated by 34 experts, including mentors and representatives of the companies. The competition included a variety of events, such as a roundtable on the interaction between educational institutions and employers in a changing labour market, a seminar on implementing individual projects in the vocational education system, as well as masterclasses, intellectual games, and career orientation tours.
In recognition of their achievements, over 60 winners from the regional stage were awarded certificates for internships in leading companies in Kamchatka Krai. If they are successful in the inter-regional competitions, they will represent Kamchatka Krai in the championship final.
The 'Professionals - 2025' competition was held at technical schools, colleges, and regional enterprises across Kamchatka Krai. This event not only showcased the talent of Kamchatka Krai's youth but also highlighted the commitment of the local government and educational institutions to nurturing and developing these talents. The competition underscores the importance of fostering a culture of professionalism and skill development in the region, and sets a high standard for future competitions.
