Chaotic Disruptions Cash in: Multiple Unruly Groups Wreck Two Schools, Brawl Erupts, Police Officers Assaulted and Villified
In the past week, several incidents have shaken the quiet town of Reutlingen and its surrounding areas. From traffic accidents to disturbances, the local authorities are working diligently to investigate and ensure public safety.
Last Friday, an unknown perpetrator or perpetrators attempted to break into a school on Nonnengasse, causing significant property damage estimated to be at least 8,000 euros. The Munsingen police station has taken up the investigation and secured traces of the unidentified culprits at the scene. Witnesses who noticed anything unusual around the school or have information about the incident are asked to contact Reutlingen Police Station.
On the same day, a traffic accident occurred on Pfullingen's Market Street involving a cyclist and a driver of a Skoda. The cyclist suffered severe leg injuries and was taken to a hospital. The Skoda driver, who was uninjured, ignored the right of way of the cyclist. The estimated damage to the car and bicycle is around €3,500.
In a separate incident, a 27-year-old man repeatedly caused disturbances in Reutlingen on Friday. He approached an 8-year-old girl on a bus and was found to be over the alcohol limit. After threatening him with a longer-term detention, the man was sent home.
Earlier in the day, around 3 PM, the same 27-year-old man stole a bottle of alcohol from a supermarket in Emil-Adolff-Straße. He was stopped by police at the Reutlingen Regional Bus Station and taken to the police station, but was released around 1:45 PM. The Reutlingen-West Police Post has taken over the investigation regarding the 27-year-old.
Meanwhile, in Paulusstraße, a private party got out of hand early Saturday morning, with around 50 people present despite only 10-15 being invited. The uninvited guests were asked to leave, and the party was broken up.
Elsewhere in Reutlingen, a 20-year-old was not cooperative due to his intoxicated state and was eventually persuaded to leave with police intervention.
In a different town, Tübingen's traffic police are investigating a 37-year-old man for reckless driving and driving without a license.
Unfortunately, disruptive behaviour was not limited to these incidents. A 63-year-old was detained in Altbach due to disruptive behaviour and threats towards police officers.
In a more positive note, a man was stopped for a traffic check near Reutlingen's South Station and had his Ford Mustang seized due to suspicion of forgery of his driver's license.
The Rottenburg police station is investigating an unusual traffic accident with property damage on the L 385 between Rottenburg and Weiler.
An altercation occurred in front of a pub in Kirchheim, resulting in minor injuries for a 32-year-old man.
Two classrooms of a school on Schulstraße were vandalized and damaged last week, from Wednesday to Friday.
As always, the authorities encourage anyone with information about these incidents to come forward and contact their local police station.
