Charity by Women's Club: €1,000 handed over for a worthy recipient
The International Women's Club Bamberg e.V., the oldest service club in the city, has once again demonstrated its commitment to charitable causes. With 68 members, the club has been actively pursuing its mission of fostering friendship, tolerance, and international understanding among German and American women.
Recently, four ladies from the club presented a donation check of 1,000 Euros to Mayor Jonas Glüsenkamp. The donation was made to support disadvantaged children and youth in Bamberg. The event was organised by the International Women's Club Bamberg for a charitable cause.
Mayor Glüsenkamp expressed his gratitude for the social commitment of the club, stating that the donation allows them to relieve families in an uncomplicated way. The donation was made directly to the Mayor and Social Affairs Representative of Bamberg, Jonas Glüsenkamp.
Half of the donation will be used for providing holiday passes to needy families, according to Deputy Youth Welfare Office Director Jürgen Egetenmeir. The remaining half will be kept for short-term support opportunities.
The International Women's Club Bamberg e.V. has a history of supporting social projects. Previously, the club has donated to the Youth Welfare Office in Bamberg. The proceeds from the 2021 flea market, organised by the club, amounted to 1,000 Euros and were also donated to the Youth Welfare Office.
In addition to its charitable work, the International Women's Club Bamberg e.V. also awards scholarships to both German and American students. The name of the president or chairperson of the women's association is not publicly available.
Founded in 1947, the International Women's Club Bamberg e.V. continues to be a significant force in the city, making a positive impact on the lives of many.
