GGPoker, an online poker platform, has disclosed the expulsion of 31 users for their utilization of Real-Time Assistance (RTA) programs.

Cheating poker players, including those participating in the World Series of Poker, barred from GGPoker for employing Real-Time Assistance software.

GGPoker, known as the world's largest poker room, has taken a firm stand against players found violating their "fair play rules." In a bold move, they've booted a whopping 31 accounts, without disclosing the exact breach, but collaborating with GTO Wizard for investigation suggests the use of real-time assistance (RTA) software in games.

Patrick Leonard, a well-known poker pro, queried GGPoker if these players would be forbidden from participating in the World Series of Poker (WSOP), given GGPoker's recent acquisition of it. In response, Fedor Holz, a member of GGPoker's Poker Integrity Council, confirmed Leonard's suspicion, stating that such a ban was indeed in the pipeline.

Recently, the poker community has been abuzz due to high-profile incidents involving RTA software. This isn't a fresh debate; it's just that recent incidents have brought it under the spotlight. Two Americas Cardroom (ACR) Pros have found themselves in hot water for this very reason.

In a social media post, Nacho Barbero was spotted using GTO Wizard alongside active ACR tables. When called out, he defended himself by stating that he was coaching players on a Discord call and using the RTA software to analyze hands.

Just a week ago, Ebony Kenney's year-old social media photo, showing her playing on ACR with GTO Wizard running, raised eyebrows. Kenney maintained that she never used such software during active hands, only to review her play afterwards.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time GGPoker has taken such actions. In the fall of 2020, they banned 40 accounts and issued warnings to 40 more for using RTA tools. This crackdown followed a notable RTA incident, involving Fedor Kruse.

Understandably, the Poker Integrity Council (PIC) takes these matters seriously. For players who receive permanent bans for serious RTA-related offenses, the PIC works closely with major live tournament operators like the WSOP to enforce an industry-wide ban. This means that a player banned by GGPoker for RTA could face further restrictions in live poker events, such as the WSOP.

In essence, GGPoker isn't shy about banning players caught using RTA software and, in some cases, these bans could extend to major live poker events like the WSOP. It's all part of the tougher industry-wide anti-cheat initiatives.

Casino-and-gambling trends are shifting towards stricter regulation, as GGPoker, the world's largest poker room, recently banned 31 players for using real-time assistance (RTA) software in their casino-games. This action might lead to permanent bans for some players in major live poker events, such as the World Series of Poker (WSOP), as confirmed by Fedor Holz, a member of GGPoker's Poker Integrity Council.
