Last week, the children of Kindergarten Maria Trost embarked on a special outing to the Dillinger town hall. The purpose of this excursion was unique; they were there to meet with Mayor Christian Finkler and discuss their concerns.

Upon arrival, the children were warmly welcomed by the Mayor. The meeting, which took place in his office, began with Mayor Finkler explaining various current happenings and his role in them. He also took the opportunity to explain the role of a mayor to the young minds.

To illustrate his role, the town hall chief provided a book titled "What does my municipality do? A day with the mayor." This book served as a helpful tool for the children to understand the duties and responsibilities of their city's leader.

One of the main concerns the children had was the lack of a pool at their kindergarten. In response, Mayor Finkler couldn't provide a pool for the kindergarten this year but promised to build a large new wading pool with water cannons and an additional water playground at the eco-lake next year.

The children also presented their vision for a kindergarten, including a long slide and a children's drinks bar. Their creativity and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on the Mayor, who expressed interest in hearing any other ideas the children had for their city.

One curious child even asked Mayor Finkler about his daily activities. The Mayor, always eager to engage, shared some insights into his daily routine, providing the children with a glimpse into his world.

Although the name of the person currently carrying out the expansion of the water treading pool with water cannons and an additional water playground at Ecowassersee is not publicly available, the promise of these exciting additions brought smiles to the faces of the children.

This special outing and meeting with the Mayor was a memorable experience for the children of Kindergarten Maria Trost. It not only gave them a better understanding of their community but also allowed them to voice their ideas and concerns, fostering a sense of involvement and empowerment.
