In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, an exciting initiative is underway to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The "Proud of Victory!" children's drawing competition is organised by the Department of Culture of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky urban district, in collaboration with the PCGO News Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Society.

This competition, aimed at the younger generation, invites children aged 5 to 11 to showcase their artistic talents and patriotic spirit. The theme of the competition is Victory in the Great Patriotic War, providing an opportunity for children to express their understanding and appreciation of this significant historical event.

Submissions can be made by sending the drawings to the "Yunost" Children's Creativity House, located at Ocean Street, 125, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. All drawings can be created using various techniques such as watercolor, tempera, or pencils on paper, poster board, cardboard, or canvas.

The deadline for submissions is March 10, 2025, and the jury will review the drawings on March 13, 2025. Winners and runners-up will receive diplomas, and their mentors will receive letters of gratitude.

This competition serves a dual purpose: fostering patriotic education among the younger generation and developing their creative abilities. It's a wonderful initiative that encourages children to engage with history in a creative and meaningful way.

If you have a child who would like to participate, please send your application to [email protected]. Let's celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War by nurturing the creative talents of our children and instilling in them a sense of pride and appreciation for our nation's history.
