Church memorial day opens on September 14th

On September 14th, 2025, the district of FΓΌrth will host its annual Heritage Day event, with a focus on showcasing churches with priceless furnishings. The official opening of the event will take place at 12:00 noon in the Klosterhof Langenzenn, attended by District Administrator Bernd Obst, Heritage Conservation Officer Dr. Thomas Liebert, and other esteemed guests.

One such guest will be Architect Stefan Ender, who will be present at the Burgkapelle Seckendorf from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. The Burgkapelle Seckendorf, a site within the Evangelical Lutheran Parish Church of St. Katharina in Seukendorf, is another monument open to the public on this day. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the church's furnishings through informative signs during their visit.

The Evangelical Lutheran Parish Church of St. Katharina in Seukendorf will be open from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm, offering a full day of exploration. St. Lorenz in Oberasbach, another place of worship in the district, will also be open on Heritage Day, although specific times have not been provided.

In addition to these churches, the Evangelical Lutheran Parish Church of Langenzenn will be open to the public from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. Visitors are encouraged to learn more about all the churches participating in the Heritage Day event by visiting this website.

The Evangelical Lutheran Parish Church of St. Wolfgang in Puschendorf will also have church guides available from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Heritage Day, providing additional insights into the church's history and treasures.
