Church scrutinizing Deputy Le Tocq's position of employment

In a shocking turn of events, Guernsey Deputy Jonathan Le Tocq has been arrested and remanded in custody on August 2, 2023. The charges against him are extremely grave, with the matter set to be heard at Guernsey's Royal Court.

The allegations include making at least 1,400 indecent images of children and possessing extremely pornographic images. Additionally, Deputy Le Tocq is accused of sending messages and images of an indecent character on X (formerly Twitter) through multiple accounts.

Deputy Le Tocq's employment with The Rock Community Church, which is funded by New Ground, is currently under review. Following his arrest in late July, he was immediately stood down from all responsibilities within New Ground Churches.

Deputy Le Tocq served as the senior pastor of The Rock Community Church in Guernsey for over 20 years and has been an ordained minister since 1980. He was also a member of the New Ground Core Team, with a focus on supporting churches in France.
