Police Report: Speeding Crackdown in Schwerte, Germany

In a bid to ensure road safety, the Circular Police Authority Unna carried out a speed control operation in Schwerte, Germany on Sunday, August 10, 2025. The operation focused on the Iserlohner Straße, the Unnaer Straße, and the Hölder Straße.

On the Hölder Straße, a total of 103 drivers faced an administrative offence procedure, with 566 drivers exceeding the allowed 50 km/h. Three driving bans were issued, one for two months and two for one month. The drivers who received the harshest penalties were driving at speeds significantly above the limit. One driver was slapped with a two-month driving ban, a fine of 600 euros, and two points for a measured speed of 117 km/h. Another driver faced a one-month driving ban, a fine of 480 euros, 2 points, and a driving ban for exceeding the speed limit by 66 km/h.

On the Unnaer Straße, 172 drivers exceeded the allowed 50 km/h on Wednesday. One driver received a driving ban, a fine of 320 euros, 2 points, and a one-month driving ban for driving at 117 km/h with a limit of 70 km/h outside built-up areas. The identity of this driver is not publicly disclosed.

On Wednesday, another location in Schwerte was targeted. A total of 713 vehicles were measured, with 60 speeding offences. The police did not issue any two-month driving bans on this location. No details were provided about the number of vehicles measured apart from the total of 713.
