City authorities are designing a fresh parking area exclusively for local homeowners.
The city of Kerpen is spearheading the urban development project "Lebensader Lux" in Hermülheim, with construction work on Luxembourg Street progressing rapidly.
As a result of the construction, parking spaces on Luxembourg Street are being lost earlier than planned. However, residents need not worry about finding a place to park, as the city of Hürth is providing alternative parking in the short term.
The temporary parking areas are located on the site of the former Kreishaus, and will be available for use from mid-March (12th calendar week). These parking areas can be accessed via Bonnstraße and Friedrich-Ebert-Straße.
It is important to note that the use of these parking areas is at one's own risk. The city of Kerpen makes no guarantees regarding the safety or security of vehicles parked in these areas.
The parking areas on the site of the former Kreishaus will be available for use free of charge. They are being provided as an alternative to the lost parking spaces on Luxembourg Street.
For more information about the Lebensader Lux project, or to submit questions and suggestions, residents can visit the official website at la-lux.swunsere.de.
The urban development project is a significant undertaking for Hermülheim, and the temporary parking solution is just one aspect of the city's efforts to ensure minimal disruption to residents during construction.
