City hall, hospitals, public swimming pools, and savings banks in Dusseldorf to face another disruption, scheduled for Tuesday

In the upcoming third round of wage negotiations, scheduled from March 14-16, 2025, in Potsdam, trade union ver.di is advocating for substantial changes. The union is demanding an eight percent wage increase, with a monthly wage increase of at least 350 euros.

In addition to the wage increase, ver.di is pushing for a "My Time Account" to provide more time sovereignty and flexibility. This account would allow workers to manage their working hours more effectively, promoting a better work-life balance.

Furthermore, ver.di is calling for increased training allowances and internship remuneration, proposing a monthly increase of 200 euros. The union also demands three additional free days to counteract high workload, aiming to improve the overall well-being of workers.

In terms of allowances, ver.di is seeking higher remuneration for particularly demanding activities. This includes a demand for increased allowances to recognise and compensate for the extra effort required in these roles.

ver.di will be leading the wage negotiations for GdP, GEW, IG BAU, as well as with dbb beamtenbund and tarifunion. The outcome of these negotiations will not only affect ver.di members but will also be transferred to civil servants, judges, soldiers, and federal pension recipients on a time and effect basis.

However, the name of the person who represents ver.di in DΓΌsseldorf-Rhein-Wupper as district leader could not be found in the search results at the time of writing.

This news article provides a brief overview of the key demands made by ver.di during the upcoming wage negotiations. Stay tuned for more updates as the negotiations progress.
