In the heart of our city, an exciting event series is set to take place this summer, designed to motivate more movement in our daily lives, facilitate encounters, and make public spaces more engaging. The series, titled "Our City Moves," kicks off on July 24th, transforming the town square into a large movement and participation area.

On Thursday, July 7th, from 5 - 8 pm, CITYplays, a board games event, will captivate all ages with a variety of games from Holzspiel Event, suitable for every taste.

A week later, on Thursday, July 14th, from 5 - 9 pm, the Salsa evening takes centre stage at the marketplace, organised by CITYtanzt. The event features DJs SINCO and ZDEE, renowned salsa DJs from the Kassel region, promising an evening of rhythm and dance for all skill levels. A dance workshop will be held on site from 5 pm, giving everyone a chance to brush up on their salsa moves.

Marcel Werner from Hotel Scirocco will provide food and drinks, including cocktails and paella, to keep the energy high throughout the evening. Hotel Scirocco is a project partner for the Salsa evening, and the contact for any inquiries.

The communal singing concert, CITYsings, takes place on Thursday, July 31st, from 5 - 8 pm, with the original band "Desperado Four" and moderation. The lyrics will be displayed on a large LCD screen during the concert, inviting everyone to join in the singing.

The Salsa evening, however, is a standalone event, not part of CITYsings, CITYplays, or the communal singing concert. It's important to note that the Salsa evening is not organised by the City of our city or the Youth Center Second Home, but is a separate initiative.

The aim of these events is to create a vibrant and active city, encouraging everyone, from children to seniors, to get involved and enjoy the various activities on offer. Whether you're a salsa enthusiast, a board game aficionado, or a lover of communal singing, there's something for everyone in our city this summer. So, mark your calendars and get ready to move, play, and sing with Our City Moves!
