City Library's Kids' Program
Weimar's City Library is gearing up for a series of engaging events aimed at children and their families. From toddlers to teenagers, there's something for everyone!
The Friedrich-Bödecker-Kreis für Thüringen e.V. is hosting a number of reading events on September 11, 18, and 19. Details about these events, including registration, can be found on their official website under the 'Events/Termin' section. On September 18, Frank Quilitzsch and Manfred Schlüter will be reading at the "Steinboss – Kinderladen Tuckermanns Töchter," Weimar.
For children aged 8 to 11, the City Library has a special event on September 18th in the afternoon. The day will not only include captivating readings but also a fun paper kite crafting session. For our younger readers, the Little Bookworms meeting takes place on the same day, from 9:30 to 11 AM, and is designed for toddlers and their caregivers.
If you have children aged 12 to 18, they won't want to miss the Youth Reading Club meetings on September 11th and 25th, from 5 to 6 PM. For the younger ones, aged 8 to 12, the Children's Reading Club offers a similar experience on the same days.
The City Library's Reading Corner, open to all ages, provides a cosy atmosphere for reading and exploring books together. It will be held on September 19th, from 3 to 4:30 PM.
Moreover, these events offer a wonderful opportunity for families to discover new books and exchange ideas with other families. They also encourage children and their caregivers to share thoughts on the books they've read.
The City Library's Media Portal serves as a valuable resource for event information and registration requirements, but the events themselves take place at the library.
So, mark your calendars and join us for these exciting literary events! Let's celebrate the joy of reading together.
