City presents blueprint for Riebeckplatz redevelopment, emphasizing a focus on future-centric layout

The City of Leipzig has initiated the publication of the draft construction plan number 174.2 "Riebeckplatz-Future Centre" in Halle (Saale). This future centre project covers a significant area, approximately 7.8 hectares, encompassing large parts of the Riebeckplatz, traffic-used areas such as parking lots on Volkmannstraße and Madgeburger Straße, and the two elevated roads.

The draft is now available for public viewing on the dedicated internet portal of the city of Halle (Saale) at www.public-display.our-website.de, from September 2 to October 6. Citizens can also visit the foyer of the administrative building Neustaedter Passage 18 to view the draft.

For those who wish to participate in the process, the city offers two avenues: the participation form and the participation portal of the state of Saxony-Anhalt. These tools provide citizens with an opportunity to express their opinions on the proposed centre. The participation form requires printing and signing before sending to the city of Halle (Saale). Statements can also be submitted electronically on the participation portal of the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

The deadline for submitting statements, both physical and electronic, remains October 6. It is important to note that the citizen participation process forms part of the city council's approval for the building plan.

The draft includes the justification, environmental report, and significant already available environmentally-related statements. The city encourages everyone to take part in this important decision-making process and have their voices heard.

In conclusion, the City of Leipzig invites the public to engage in the draft construction plan for the "Riebeckplatz-Future Centre" in Halle (Saale). Whether you choose to use the participation form, the participation portal of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, or view the draft online or in person, your input is valuable in shaping the future of this project.
