City's vibrant community finds delight in Intershop, a mobile kiosk system
On Saturday, the 5th of July, the city of Dresden, Germany, will come alive with the mobile kiosk for joyful interaction in public spaces, known as Intershop. This unique event, organised by Sandrina Sperlich and students from the "Design Exploration" module, will take place in three different locations throughout the day.
The main event will be held at the Albertplatz Fountain, Inner New Town, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Here, visitors can engage with 12 interventions designed for playful interaction, such as sitting together, murmuring, enjoying, awakening, kissing, and talking.
From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the Schene Courtyard, Alaun Street, Outer New Town, will host Intershop. The day will continue at Alaunplatz, Outer New Town, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The exact involvement of Sandrina Sperlich in the event is not specified in the provided information.
The purpose of Intershop is to demonstrate how design can contribute to shaping positive social interaction in public spaces. It is intended to be a source of joy and interaction for the public, and it does not sell tobacco or canned beer.
On Friday, the 4th of July, Intershop will be at the Main Street Fountain, Inner New Town, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The students from the "Design Exploration" module are bringing their ideas from the classroom directly to the people through Intershop.
The Faculty of Design is hosting Intershop on the 4th and 5th of July. This event promises to be a fascinating exploration of design's potential to enhance our shared experiences in public spaces. So, mark your calendars and join in the celebration of design and interaction at Intershop!
