Climate Policy Gathering in 2025: A National Perspective

The National Climate Governance Summit (NCGS) 2025 is set to return next year, aiming to make vital climate discussions accessible to all. Scheduled to take place from 7-11 April 2025, the summit will be held at Sasana Kijang in Kuala Lumpur, with both virtual and in-person attendance options available.

This five-day event promises to be an exciting and informative gathering, featuring over 20 internationally renowned speakers from diverse scientific and industry backgrounds. Among the speakers are Lauren Smart, Global Head of Sustainability at S&P Global, Rebecca Mikula-Wright, Chief Executive Officer of Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC), and Emily Farnworth, Executive Director of Climate Governance Initiative (CGI).

The summit will kick off with two days of high-level dialogues, followed by three days of practical sessions. These sessions will include 14 Masterclasses and 11 Workshops, aimed at empowering directors and business leaders to drive impactful change. Transition finance, highlighted as a key driver in building a sustainable economy, will be a major focus of the discussions.

NCGS 2025 also has the honour of welcoming EU Vice-President Henna Virkkunen, Samsung executive Young Sohn, Alexandra Brintrup (University of Cambridge), Jay Lala (RTX), Dong-Seon Chang (Future Explorers Society), Maria Rescigno (Humanitas University), Leopold Summerer (ESA Department of Technology), Eleni Diamanti (Paris Centre for Quantum Computing), Margot Weijnen (TU Delft, NWO), GaΓ©tan Lefebvre (French Observatory of Mineral Resources), and many more.
