TSV Heimsheim Shocks Bezirksliga with 7-1 Victory over TSV Phoenix Lomersheim
In a surprising turn of events, TSV Heimsheim secured a shock victory in the Bezirksliga, defeating TSV Phoenix Lomersheim 7-1. The game saw a series of goals from both teams, with Heimsheim taking an early lead and never looking back.
The match began with Lucca Grau scoring the opening goal for TSV Heimsheim just a minute into the game. TSV Phoenix responded in the 14th minute, as FV Loechgau II's free kick found the back of the net, making it 1-1. However, Heimsheim regained their lead in the 23rd minute, thanks to an own goal by Lomersheim's David Kirschbaum.
TSV Heimsheim extended their lead further in the 36th minute, with Lino Widmaier scoring to make it 3-1. The second half saw more goals for Heimsheim, as Tim Widmaier scored in the 60th minute, followed by Niklas Horn, who came on as a substitute to score in the 77th minute. The final blow was delivered by Niklas Horn's teammate, Imran Sahinovic, who scored two goals in the 78th minute.
Meanwhile, TSV Münchingen, currently holding the second spot on the table, continued their impressive form with an 8-0 victory over FC Marbach. Captain Antonio Di Matteo scored three goals for Münchingen, including two penalties. Nephtalie Diakiesse, Thomas Ivan, Fatos Povataj, and David Rocco Ivan also found the back of the net for the victorious team. Egzon Krajki scored two goals in the second half, while a poorly cleared free kick allowed Diakiesse to score before the 5-0 goal.
Elsewhere in the league, TSV Merklingen suffered a 3-4 home defeat against FV Loechgau II. Kai Woischiski scored a late consolation goal for Merklingen from a free kick, but it was not enough to salvage a draw. The game saw a yellow-red card for a Lomersheim player, which forced them to play the last 20 minutes with a man down due to repeated fouls.
In another notable match, the SV Frielingsdorf achieved the greatest success on the third matchday of the Bezirksliga by defeating SC Brühl with a score of 7-3. The highlight of the game was four goals from Philipp Schmidt, showcasing Frielingsdorf's strength in attack.
