Clothing store in Detroit suffers another break-in within short periods
J-Bees Clothing Store in Detroit Suffers Another Nighttime Burglary
A popular clothing store in Detroit's east side, J-Bees, has once again fallen victim to a nighttime burglary. The store, which has been in operation for 26 years, has been a staple in the community, but recent break-ins are taking a significant toll on its operations.
The general manager of J-Bees, who requested anonymity, expressed their frustration at the recurring crime at night. They stated that the store's security measures have not been sufficient to prevent these incidents, and they are losing more money than they make due to the back-to-back break-ins.
The latest burglary has cost J-Bees tens of thousands of dollars in damages and stolen goods. The store's gate was broken during the incident, adding to the repair costs. The general manager described the perpetrators as moving like professionals, suggesting a well-planned operation.
The general manager is currently waiting for the police to find the suspects responsible for the burglary. They expressed confidence that the police would have caught the suspects sooner if they had responded more quickly. The Detroit Police are involved in the investigation and resolution of the burglaries at J-Bees.
J-Bees has been burglarized multiple times in the past, with one incident occurring a couple of months ago, which cost them approximately $100,000. However, the general manager has yet to learn who is responsible for the break-in that happened a few months ago, and the person responsible for the recent burglary is currently unknown.
The store currently has security during the day, provided by the strip mall, but the general manager and business owner, Waheed Ahmad, have requested security for J-Bees at night from the strip mall management. Ahmad values the community and customer relationships more than potential financial gains and is hoping for a resolution to this ongoing issue.
On a positive note, the burglary that occurred three to four years ago is now being resolved, with the perpetrator being caught. The general manager remains hopeful that the same will happen for the recent burglaries.
As J-Bees continues to recover from these incidents, the community is urged to support local businesses and help in any way they can to ensure the safety and continuity of these establishments.
