Collapse of a Driver in Close Proximity to Radeberg
In a tragic incident that occurred on the S177 road between Radeberg and Rossendorf, a 44-year-old man driving a VW Polo lost control of his vehicle in a left curve, colliding with a guardrail. The vehicle then flipped over and ended up on its roof in an adjacent cornfield.
Emergency services were swiftly called to the scene, and the injured man was transported to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the man sustained severe injuries from the collision.
It was later discovered that the driver had been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol content of nearly 3.2 per mil, far exceeding the legal limit. As a result, the driver's license was confiscated due to the positive alcohol test.
Additionally, it was reported that the driver had been weaving in and out of his lane, driving in a zigzag pattern, before losing control of the vehicle.
