The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has formed a new partnership with Charlotte Capewell's COMPLETE iGAMING, aiming to end the harassment of college athletes and maintain the integrity of college sports.

This partnership, focused on college sports, takes on the concern of solicitation of insider information, as highlighted by Clint Hangebrauck, NCAA Managing Director of Enterprise Risk Management. Hangebrauck cited an example of such solicitation: "Hey, can you let me know if you're going to play or not, and I'll provide you some money."

Though the terms and conditions of the agreement are not disclosed, it does include measures such as education on account security and a hotline for athletes to report abuse. The hotline has been operational since Tuesday and was initially set up by Venmo, the NCAA's previous partner, in February 2022.

The hotline is not the only measure in place to combat harassment. The partnership also aims to prevent solicitation for inside information. Enhanced monitoring of social media trends during high-profile game instances is included in the agreement, though the exact measures to be taken are not specified.

Education on account security is part of the agreement, but the exact measures to be taken regarding this aspect are also not disclosed. The agreement does not mention any penalties for violations, leaving some questions unanswered about the consequences of non-compliance.

Despite these uncertainties, the partnership is a significant step towards ensuring the safety and integrity of college sports. The NCAA and COMPLETE iGAMING are committed to creating a safe environment for athletes and upholding the values of fair play and sportsmanship.
