College Students Frolic on Winter's Frozen Worcester Common for Semester Kick-off Ice Skating Fun

Holy Cross is hosting its own holiday festivities, with a recent Christmas Tree lighting event on campus being a highlight. The event, organised by the Campus Activity Board, was a free ice skating activity on Worcester Common for Holy Cross students.

The event ran from 6-9 pm, with frequent shuttles to and from the Common to transport students. Even beginner skaters had a great experience at the event, as more experienced skaters enjoyed the evening by teaching their friends and practicing their skills.

Owen Cox '26 found it entertaining to watch his friends with less experience skate and help them learn, while Blake Bacas '26 expressed interest in attending similar events in the future.
