In an unfortunate incident, a collision occurred on the A33 towards Brilon, between the Stukenbrock-Senne and Paderborn-Sennelager exits, at around 9:15 AM. The accident involved a 48-year-old Mini driver from Oerlinghausen, who sustained severe injuries.

Upon exiting onto the Hövelsenne rest area, the Mini driver collided with a median barrier. Emergency medical care was promptly provided at the scene. The incident disrupted traffic flow, with the exit to the rest area and the right lane of the highway closed during the investigation.

The right lane was reopened around 9:55 AM, while the left lane remained closed for further investigation. The Mini involved in the accident was no longer drivable and needed to be towed away, causing an estimated property damage of approximately 30,000 euros.
